What is AktivScene?
AktivScene is an adaptive, interactive visual and Audio toolbox for your layout
Turning your imagination into reality is just the start, sharing it with others is where the real magic happens.
Our proprietary technology utilises multiple size displays with quality sound modules and powerful, yet simple to use, processors with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
No coding needed yet incredible interactions and scene realism at your fingertips. Scenes come alive as they react to other scenes, locomotives, simple triggers, or manual triggers. You develop the story, AktivScene implements it.
This year at the National Festival of Railway Modelling, we are hosting the exclusive World Premiere of our groundbreaking new interactive layout electronics called AktivScene. This isn't just another accessory—it is an entirely new category of layout realism combining high-definition video & sound displays synchronised to your layout based on your story. There is nothing else like this on the market, not even close.
Try it Yourself: Visit us at Stand 35A-1 to test the interactive modules live. Use the app, trigger the sequences, see & hear the fidelity in person.
First Opportunity to take the Tech Home: We have a limited Launch Day Allocation of retail-ready modules. Be the first to install AktivScene on your layout that weekend.
First Pre-orders only taken during the show, unless you sign up here to reserve a spot in the pre-order queue. Special show prices for in-person attendance only.
OO/HO Gauge Passenger Coaches
“Watch and hear passengers as they interact with each other, react to events such as the train slowing. Listen to their dialogue as they prepare to depart or pass an interesting scene.”
Integration is simple, slide the displays behind the windows, connect 2 wires to the pick-ups, and the adpative electronics mesh into the network.
Glimpse inside the Workshed
“Watch and listen to the workmen repair the locomotives.”
Video Displays mount behind windows in standard full size buildings, low-relief models, or custom builds. No complex wiring, just connect 2 power leads and the rest happens automatically, with you conducting the show.
O Gauge Coaches
"Awesome detail in every window: see the napkins on the table, notice the ladies dresses and gentlemens' hats, watch the famous landmarks slide past in the background scenery."
Chosen by you, seamless scenery embedded in the scene for viaducts, chasms, slate quarries, canal locks, and industrial engine yards. The speed of the scenery adjusts to the actual speed of the coach.
You provide the imagination, AktivScene makes it reality
Tailor Every Window, Awaken Every Corner
Compatible with DC or DCC controllers and DC, DCC, and AC acccessory buses.
Below is a small sample of what YOU can do on your layout. AktivScene is a tool for your imagination, master the tool and create a layout never seen before.
Displays adapt and interact with each other. It is like the lady in the window KNOWS the train is approaching and waves, or the coach passengers know they are being delayed and complain. You imagine the story, AktivScene makes it happen.
Allows complex visual and audio storytelling on your layout without coding, complex wiring, or difficult installation.
Filmed live at the Abingdon & District Model Rail Club 04 Sept 2026
